properties. Its moisturizing ability is its most widely recognized
characteristic. Aloe Vera penetrates the skin, supplying moisture
directly to the tissue.
Avocado Oil
may mobilize and increase the collagen of connective
tissue, and has been given the highest ranking by the Encyclopedia
of Chemical Technology for sunscreen effectiveness. Avocado oil
enjoys the highest penetration rate among similar oils.
Carrot Oil
has been used since the sixteenth century for skin
diseases due to its believed cleansing, depurative, and draining
properties. This carotene-rich emollient has been indicated for
acne skin conditions, dermatitis, skin irritation, skin rashes,
and wrinkles. It is derived from the carrot root.
Cramp Bark
is used as an antidote to muscular spasms of any kind,
epileptic seizures, all types of nervous disorders, severe menstrual
pain during periods, or labor pain during birth. Cramp bark is
an excellent uterine sedative and is the best relaxant for the
ovaries and uterus.
Lemon Grass Oil

oil is the volatile oil distilled from the leaves of the lemon
grass.
Natural Glycerin
is used as a moisturizer and humectant to replace
moisture in the skin.
Rosemary Extract
is a natural preservative.
Sarsaparilla
contains vitamins A, B-complex, C and D. Also the
minerals iron, manganese, sodium, silicon, sulfur, copper, zinc,
and iodine. It contains the amino acids methionine and cysteine.
It also contains diogenin, a saprogen which in turn contains the
female hormone progesterone and the male hormone testosterone.
Sarsaparilla helps strengthen the nerve fibers and tissues of the
brain, spinal cord, lungs, and throat. Sarsaparilla is especially
good for removing heavy metallic contaminants from the blood, which
are received through the nostrils in the foul, smog-filled air
of urban areas. Sarsaparilla root, which contains testosterone,
will help hair regrow.
Saw Palmetto Berries
help rebuild the body by feeding the endocrine
system to rebuild atrophied flesh. Saw palmetto berries can help
rebuild sexual reproductive organs, such as atrophied testicles
in elderly men. Saw palmetto berries work well for female organs
also. Saw palmetto berries have been known to increase the size
of small breasts. On remarkable characteristic of saw palmetto
berries is the great nutritional value they have on any kind of
wasting disease. The saw palmetto berries will increase flesh and
strength.
Stearal Konium Chloride
is one of the principal constituents of
bentonite clay used in face masks because of its properties as
a suspending agent.
Natural Progesterone
is derived from the soy plant and Mexican
wild yam root. These sterols are processed through several fermentation
steps to yield progesterone which is identical to the progesterone
whish is produced by the human body.
Vitamin A Palmitate
is known
as a skin "normalizer." It
acts as an anti-keratinizing agent, helping the skin stay soft
and plump. Clinical studies with vitamin A palmitate indicates
a significant change in skin composition with increases in collagen,
DNA, skin thickness, and elasticity. Vitamin A palmitate's stability
is superior to retinol.
Vitamin E
is considered the most important oil, soluble antioxidant
and free radical scavenger. As a moisturizer, vitamin E is well
absorbed through the skin; it is derived from alfalfa and wheat.
Mexican Wild Yam
In 1936, Japanese scientists discovered that a species of wild yam
(Dioscorea villosa -mexicana) growing in the south of
Mexico contained a sterol called diosgenin which is remarkably
similar to progesterone. Wild yam contains a "bank" of
important precursors which could be used by the human body to biochemically
synthesize DHEA, progesterone, and other hormones nearly identical
to that produced by the adrenal gland. In 1943, Professor Russell
Marker discovered how to synthesize diosgenin from the wild yam
into progesterone.
For a number of years following this discovery, wild Mexican yam
was a primary source for the production of progesterone and other
hormones. Until recently, wild yam (not to be confused with the
sweet potato yam) was the sole source of the diosgenin used in
making contraceptive pills. According to herbalist Rosemary Gladstar
in her book, Herbal Healing For Women (Simon& Schuster, 1993),
wild yam is the most widely used herb in the world today, with
over 200 million prescriptions sold each year that contain its
derivatives.
Pregnenolone
a derivative of cholesterol. Under The Dietary Supplement
Law of 1994, preg is classified as a nutrient and, is available
to the general public without prescription. Its benefits to sufferers
of both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis date back to the
1950's.
Ginger
a natural herb that possesses many therapeutic
properties. The most relevant to arthritis sufferers, particularly
those with rheumatoid arthritis, is its ability to inhibit inflammation
and bring immediate relief from pain.
Emu Oil
used by the Aboriginal people of Australia
for the treatment of muscle and joint pain, contains a variety
of fatty acids. modern research into the properties of emu oil
has found that this is the greatest skin emollient in the world,
with deep skin penetration properties better than any other natural
oil.
MSM
Menthyl Sulfonyl Methane, or MSM for short, is a natural form of
organic sulfur found in all living organisms. MSM is supplied to
the human body through a variety of fresh foods including fruit,
vegetables, meat, eggs, fish and milk. MSM is the flexible bond
between proteins that keeps new blood cells from becoming rigid
and helps tissues retain their flexibility. Because there are few
nerves in the bones, our pain comes from the soft tissues. Aspirin
shuts off the nerves, but the tissues are still damaged. MSM relieves
the inflammation, helps the tissues to heal and prevents soreness.
MSM is a radical scavenger which helps reduce allergies to foods
and pollens. Any excess MSM in your system will stay in your blood
stream for 12 hours helping to remove toxins, clean the interior
walls of arteries and provide the body with health giving benefits
without any nuisance side effects.
Clinical research confirms that MSM is capable of reducing or eliminating
leg and back cramps, general soreness and muscle spasms.
Cocamide DEA
is
a cleansing oil obtained from the coconut. It contributes to
the removal of excess oils.
Cocamidopropyl betaine
is
a mild cleanser and conditioner derived from coconut. It is
also an anti-irritant.
Natural Glycerin
is
used as a moisturizer and humectant to replace moisture in
the skin.
Spearmint oil

used to relax skin and muscular aches and to relieve facial
neuralgia.
Walnut husk

a mild antiseptic, and a natural skin scrub and cleanser
that exfoliates dead skin cells.
Fennel
soothes
and is mildly antiseptic so it lends itself to the care of
sensitive skin
Hops

substances responsible for the toning and blood-flowing properties
of this plant. Hops also acts as a sedative to calm nervous,
irritated skin.
Chamomile
has
anti-irritant, antiseptic, and antispasmodic action, and therefore,
always has been used to treat skin with a tendency to inflammation,
dryness, and chapping
Balm-mint and mistletoe
act
predominantly as antispasmodics that are soothing to the
nerves. As such, they also are of interest for application
to sensitive skin. A positive influence on greasy skin and
blemished complexion is ascribed to mistletoe because of
its antiseptic properties.
Yarrow
exerts
a positive effect on the circulation of the blood. Since
this plant also has anti-inflammatory properties, it is recommended
for oversensitive skin. Its application in circulation-stimulating
baths is well known.
Urea
has
properties that promote cell regeneration; it is used cosmetically
for the care of dry, flaky skin.
Citric acid
is
used to establish a neutral pH.
Rosemary Extract
